Linda Scott is a politician and psychologist in central Sydney, Australia.

Linda Scott was born in 1977 in Melbourne but grew up in Canberra, and completed high school at Narrabundah College, Kingston, Australian Capital Territory.

She completed her B.Sc. at the University of New South Wales and has commenced her Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology. Linda was the President of the University of New South Wales Postgraduate Board from 2001-2002 and served consecutive terms as the Postgraduate Student Representative on the University Council.

She is also near completion of her Ph.D. at the University of Sydney.

Linda has taught at both the University of New South Wales and the University of Sydney and has worked at the NSW Bureau of Crime Statistics and Research for several years. She is also the Chair of the Surry Hills Neighbourhood Centre.

Linda has been heavily involved in community activities and representation in central Sydney for many years. She is also a noted public commentator on community issues and recently contributed an invited essay on local government and citizen participation in democracy to a book of essays edited by the Evatt Foundation.

Linda Margaret Scott was the Australian Labor Party candidate for the seat of Sydney in the New South Wales General Election, 2007.
