Linda Nager Brandt

Linda Nager Brandt was born in Detroit, Michigan, where she discovered her musical gift at the age of three, when she began playing piano by ear. She studied throughout her childhood, continued her training at Oberlin Conservatory of Music, and completed her Bachelor of Music and Master of Science degrees at the Juilliard School in New York City. While studying at the Juilliard, she played jazz in night clubs in New York and Detroit.
Linda Brandt has served on the piano faculties of numerous colleges and she has given several performances nationwide. These performances include: Appearances as soloist with symphony orchestras, solo recitals, young people's concerts, lectures on jazz, popular music, Broadway theater, master classes, and piano teachers workshops, as well as radio and television programs.
On November 4, 1990, she made her New York City debut in a solo recital of both Classical and Jazz piano at Carnegie Hall. Linda is on the National Roster for the Baldwin Piano Company. She currently resides in Santa Barbara, California, where she writes music, teaches piano, and performs in various venues.
