[edit] History

The Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center and Charter School is built in the same spot that once belonged to Midland's Lincoln High. After the High School closed in 1987 due to low enrollment, the area of Midland became increasingly depressed. Midland Burough School District's superintendant Dr. Nick Trombetta then came and started to make things increasingly better for Midland. In 2000, he opened the Western Pennslyvania Cyber Charter School so students from Midland could finnally attend high school in their own town. This cyber scholl has grown to be the largest in the state. Dr. Trombetta had a dream of building a world class arts center and school for Midland, Beaver County, and Western Pennslyvania, and with his efforts, the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Center was built.
