[edit] Image warning

Hi. You have been uploading a very large number of non-free images. Many of these have been wrongly or insufficiently tagged, and all the recent ones lack the detailed free use rationale required by our policies. You have continued to upload such images even after receiving a large number of automatic warnings.

Please read our image policies at Wikipedia:Copyright and especially Wikipedia:Fair use carefully. In particular, I'm pointing you to what they say about "critical analysis and commentary" being a necessary criterion for fair use of movie images. I'm giving you 2 days time to clean up your record, by adding sensible fair use rationales to those image pages that you think match these criteria, and tagging the others for deletion to save us work. If you don't do this, I will delete all your images without further notice. Also, I'm asking you to refrain from any more image uploads until this is sorted out, and from any more image uploads without a proper rationale afterwards. I would have to block you if you persist in this. Thank you, Fut.Perf. 09:58, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Stop Despite my warning above, you did nothing to clean up your old image uploads, and instead uploaded two new ones, again both with insufficient and/or false copyright declarations (Image:Blueblue.jpg and Image:Craigsymbol.jpg). I am therefore blocking you to prevent further damage. I'm setting no fixed expiry date ("indefinite"); you can be unblocked any time as soon as you give some plausible indication you have read and understood and accepted our image use policies (Wikipedia:Copyright and Wikipedia:Fair use). Please use the {unblock} template when you're ready. Fut.Perf. 11:20, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

Your request to be unblocked has been granted for the following reason(s):

States that applicable policies have been read per above - future violations will lead to more restrictions on editing.

[edit] Image:Ipodnanos.jpg listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded or altered, Image:Ipodnanos.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. – Fʀɪɺøʟɛ ( тɐʟк¢ʘи†ʀ¡βs ) 01:37, 8 March 2007 (UTC)

This is clearly in violation of WP copyright and fair use policies, there are free alternative images available (and in fact, that was being used already), and in addition to being in violation of copyright, it is also not properly tagged.

While useful contributions are welcome, please refrain from uploading copyrighted material that is in violation of WP:Copyright and tag all uploaded images with the appropriate license information.

If you can provide more information about this subject, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.

[edit] Your talk page

Regarding user talk pages, it is best to not delete notices, but instead, to archive them. You will find how to do this at Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page. Actively erasing non-harassing personal messages is often interpreted as hostile. In the past, this kind of behavior has been viewed as uncivil. For this reason, if your deletion of notices and concerns on your user talk page is to keep the "clutter" down, I suggest that you instead create archives for these messages. --Geniac 23:42, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
