L. curvirostris |
Limnornis is the generic name given to two species of South American passerine birds named reedhaunters in English for their habitat. They are:
- Curve-billed Reedhaunter, Limnornis curvirostris
- Straight-billed Reedhaunter, Limnornis rectirostris
They occupy a similar ecological niche to some reed warblers.
The name Limnornis was also mistakenly given to fossils of prehistoric birds from Romania, but these remains have since been reclassified as Eurolimnornis and Palaeocursornis.
