Brian Limond, better known as Limmy, is a Glasgow-based comedian. Limmy first became known through his website and its accompanying blog. A recent successful daily podcast, Limmy's World of Glasgow, has resulted in Limmy receiving interest from the mainstream UK media. [1] [2]
Scottish culture magazine The List recently listed Limmy at number 14 in their Hot 100 list, which celebrates the people who have made the biggest impact on cultural life in Scotland over a 12-month period. [3]
Limmy recently took to the stage for two sold out appearances at the Magners Glasgow Comedy festival.His shows at Blackfriars sold out due to word of mouth alone and he was featured for BBC2's The Culture Show as part of their coverage.
He also introduced the Australian rock outfit Jet at their recent appearance at the Carling Academy Glasgow.He did so by performing an acapella version of their global smash 'Are you gonna by my girl?'complete with air guitar.
