The Limerick to Rosslare line is one of the few major railway lines in Ireland that does not radiate from Dublin. The line was built between 1848 and 1854 by the Waterford and Limerick Railway, making it one of the oldest railway routes in Ireland. Today, services are operated by Commuter branded diesel multiple units.
