Limavady High School

Limavady High School is a mainly Protestant secondary school in the North-Western town of Limavady in Northern Ireland. It currently has a population of around 800 pupils.

The school was first opened in 1961 on fromer Grammar School site on Irish Green Street. In 2001 after the closure of Dungiven High School it was absorbed into Limavady High School.

In 2006 the school received specialist school status in the visual and performing arts and received a sum of money to be used for the purpose. The school introducted new GCSE subjects such as Dance and Journalism and introduced new technologies like plasma screen TV's and video cameras to record and produce video material so that it can be viewed by staff and pupils in the corridors.
