Location of Likoma in Malawi

Likoma is the main town on Likoma Island in Malawi. It is the administrative capital of Likoma District.

Perhaps the most famous attraction of Likoma is a cathedral built at the beginning of the 20th century. Considered a feat of engineering, materials for its construction were imported from many countries.

Visiting Likoma is possible either via the somewhat unreliable illala boat or visitors can take a plane from Lilongwe.
