Like the Flowing River is a book from Paulo Coelho from 2006.

It is a collection of anecdotes, ideas and autobiographical drafts and it represents a unique and fascinating observation that the most famous brasilian writer in the world makes on his very rich literary corpus. Deriving inspiration from works of different periods, Coelho rebuilds in this book his path, offering us a precious vision of his philosophy: the one of a person that observes life with the same serenity of who puts his look on the flow of a river. What emerges with strength is, simply, a possible history of human beings, depicted with the rapidity and intesity of a snapshot, instantaneous like life is.

Literature, history, the difficult art of love for human beings and for books that depict the story of all days: eternal themes that flow through the words of a writer which is different from any other existing writer and anchored to his mission: communicate to who can listen the truth and the beauty of universe.
