"Like This and Like That" is an R&B song written by American composers Dallas Austin, and Colin Wolfe for Monica's debut studio album, Miss Thang (1995). It also was produced by Austin, and was released as the album's second single in early 1996 (see 1996 in music). In the United States, the song was released on a double A-side single with "Before You Walk out of My Life". "Like This and Like That" became Monica's second number-one hit on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, while it simultaneously reached number 7 on the U.S. Hot 100.
