Lighthouse Christian College is a small private K-12 school situated in Melbourne, Australia in the suburb of Keysborough. The school holds a strong Christian ethos, with many scriptures relating to students daily activities as listed out in the school diaries. Most students are well disciplined, keeping the school's morale high and giving the school the absence of problems like drugs, violence, smoking and alcohol. There are currently about 500 students enrolled, with a maximum enrollment ceiling of 700, due to the limited space and facilities. The school also uses the AOG Keysborough Church buildings, which are situated on the campus, for assemblies, the canteen and toilets.

[edit] Schools Funding
The school has been criticised for being underfunded. The original intentions of the founders was that the school would be public, but regulations require the school to become secular in order to do so. As a result, school fees are comparatively low compared to other privatised schools in the area (e.g $2,460 p.a for Lighthouse in primary [prep - year 6] compared to Haileybury's $15,592 p.a for years 5-6, which less than 50 metres north of Lighthouse along Springvale road). The only way the school has decided to increase funding is through new enrolments. Many proposals to improve facilities have been dropped, the most recent being the home economic room. Proposed projects include:
- Sealing of southern exit (currently a gravel road).
- Expansion of primary building to two stories (originally constructed single story, foundations will allow building to be duplicated)
- New administration wing and VCE nobbing centre
- Home Economics room (left off the Middle school building project finished in 2004, due to lack of funding)
- improved sewerage system (school has relied off septic tanks until 2005, when housing estates were built around the school and sewer pipe lines installed). This has been completed, but leaks occur often and need to be repaired.
- Construction of new year 5 building (two portables are being used at the moment)
- Cranbourne Campus (under construction)
- school cafeteria (the AOG Keysborough church kitchen is used to sell food to students, and operates 3 times a week)
[edit] Cranbourne campus
There is also a smaller campus located in Cranbourne East, which has less than 50 students enrolled from K-12. Cranbourne East students have to travel to the Keysborough campus to use the facilities there as facilities at Cranbourne East are VERY limited.

Lighthouse has a three house system. Proposals have been made to introduce a new fourth house, but this has been declared unnecessary unless the school reaches a high level of enrollments. The three houses are:
- Wesley Warriors, named after John Wesley, coloured red. Formally Apostles.
- Luther Knights, named after Martin Luther, coloured blue. Formally Disciples.
- Ten Boom Titans, named after Corrie ten Boom, coloured green. Formally Prophets.
The three houses compete for the Lez Clark cup which is awarded at the end of the year on presentation night to the house with the most points.
