LifeScan, Inc. is a member of the Johnson and Johnson group of companies and is headquartered in Milpitas California.
Its products are blood glucose monitoring devices for diabetics like the OneTouch Ultra range. Its philosophy is to "create a world without limits for people with Diabetes"
It also has units in Inverness, Scotland, Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada and Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico. It has recently acquired Animas Corporation of West Chester, Pennsylvania. Animas produces and develops insulin pumps for diabetics. It is also developing a facility in Aguadilla in Puerto Rico for the production of test strips.
