Life's Been Good

Life's Been Good is a 1978 single by Joe Walsh, which first appeared on the album But Seriously Folks. It is a song about rock stardom. The first verse mentions how he pays for the crimes, i.e. tearing out walls. The second verse mentions how he lost his license due to reckless driving. The last verse mentions how he stays out really late partying, and people think he's lazy. The other part of the second verse mentions how his fans write to him and tell him how great he is. The song begins with drums, followed by a big riff. Then, the bass guitar immediately follows, and several other electric guitars come in while Joe Walsh carries on with his riff. Then before the singing begins, there's an acoustic riff with a little bit of lead on electric. The middle section has the ARP Odyssey riff, which is played just before and during the guitar solo. Joe plays another solo at the end section, which includes the one-minute slow fade.
