[edit] not for reflux

the Liebig condenser is not used for refluxing, the image in the reflux page is wrong. A reflux condenser has a much larger inner surface (not a strait cylinder but a succession of spheres) V8rik 17:02, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

  • V8rik - maybe you're right in that people shouldn't use Liebig condensers when they wish to heat a liquid to reflux, but they are very frequently used for this purpose. -- Quantockgoblin 18:11, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
