Why? He was reverting just as much as me. I was just reverting (and gave a reason) the the way it has been for months. Unban me License2Kill 06:42, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

That's not how it works, generally the argument is he was reverting just as much as me, block him too - but what was the revert war over? I missed this completely. KillerChihuahua?!? 23:19, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

He kept taking out a sentence that's been there for months, and I got banned for putting it back? It's okay, I understand you got to protect the site. License2Kill 05:14, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Archive this, L2K - do you know how to archive? KillerChihuahua?!? 12:04, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

No I don't. License2Kill 17:22, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Wikipedia:How to archive a talk page - let me know if you find it confusing. KillerChihuahua?!? 17:41, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for the quik reply License2Kill 17:41, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Yes, I do find it confusing? Can you explain it? License2Kill 17:45, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Depends on whether you want to paste or move. I advise move. KillerChihuahua?!? 17:54, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

Okay, I'll go with move License2Kill 17:55, 16 July 2006 (UTC)

  1. Find or make the name of the page you are archiving to:
This is currently User talk:License2Kill/Archive1 - you can see this in the infobox code, and/or by simply clicking the 1 in the archives infobox. Don't edit that page (if you were going to paste, that's where you'd paste all this).
  2. Move talk page to archive talk page
While on this page (User talk:License2Kill) click the move button at the top of your page. (Edit, History, Move). When the next page appears, you'll see two boxes - one is for the name to move TO, which is labeled "To new title" and one is Reason. In To new title, enter User talk:License2Kill/Archive1, in Reason, enter Archiving (don't bold the text, just enter it.) Click the "Move page" button. Now you're on your archive. Edit it, adding talkarchive to the top. Now your talk page is archived, and is replaced with a redirect to the archive (which automatically happens when you MOVE something.)
  3. Remove redirect on talk page:
Click on My talk, and you'll hit the archive, but with one of those "redirect" notices at the top - it will say "Redirected from User talk:License2Kill", so click on that so you can remove the redirect. I suggest replacing it with so your page isn't completely empty. If you screw things up completely (as happens with moving and archiving) don't panic. Leave me a message on my talk page and I'll straighten it out, ok? These directions will work for the first two times you archive. After that, you'll also have to edit the infobox for a link to the archive. Trust me, it will all start making sense. ~~~~ ==Please use edit summaries== Thanks much - KillerChihuahua?!? 16:28, 31 January 2007 (UTC) == Covers in album chronologies == Please note that according to Wikipedia fair use policy copyrighted material must contribute significantly to the article (e.g. identify the subject of an article, or specifically illustrate relevant points or sections within the text) and must not serve a purely decorative purpose. Using fair use album covers in album chronologies is therefore inappropriate. Jogers (talk) 14:22, 13 February 2007 (UTC) :They were removed from Illmatic article on several occasions What is the purpose of these images if they are not decorative? Jogers (talk) 20:25, 13 February 2007 (UTC) ::Licence2Kill, Jogers was correct to remove these images from the chronology. Please review Wikipedia's fair use policy, which governs the use of all unfree images. Product covers can only be used as a part of critical commentary about the product itself. As such, we can not use an album's cover in an article about a different album. Please consider assisting Jogers in re-removing the images. Also, in the future, remember that every unfree image needs a separate fair use rationale for each article that it appears in to explain the reasons why the usage is legal, consistent with policy, and indispensable to the article. If you have any comments or questions, please reply here; we do not need to spread this conversation onto a third page. ×Meegs 11:51, 28 February 2007 (UTC) :::Wouldn't covers in chronology be the same as having them in a discography License2Kill 21:59, 28 February 2007 (UTC) ::::Discographies really should not contain album covers either. Though they do not contain critical commentary, some discographies may at least contain information or statistics about the album; single album articles with chronology links, however, usually contain no discussion about the other albums at all. Again, as there are at least 3 people involved in this conversation, if you need to, please reply here instead of my talk page. Regards ×Meegs 07:32, 3 March 2007 (UTC) Plenty of admins come across the discography sections daily and they don't see a problem with it, and I've scene at least two admins who have been editing the pages that contain pictures in their discography and they never had a problem with it License2Kill 08:09, 3 March 2007 (UTC) :This does not matter. Not all admins are familiar with all areas of policy, nor can they (or any editor) be expected to fix every problem that they come across. ×Meegs 09:15, 3 March 2007 (UTC) :Similarly, I'm not saying that you need to actively participate in removing images from chronologies (or discographies). You can work on improving the encyclopdia in any way that you like. What you need to not do is revert the actions of other editors who are trying to clean-up problems and enforce policy. I also continue to suggest that you restore Jogers's edits in order to save them the trouble. ×Meegs 09:30, 3 March 2007 (UTC) But if no admins have even expressed problems at the other pages, why this one? License2Kill 03:49, 4 March 2007 (UTC) :You're wrong: Editors — admin and non-admin — are cleaning-up violations of our fair use policy throughout the entire project. It is a huge problem that we are struggling to get and handle on. Most editors do not spend much time in the area because they would rather focus on other things. We're a volunteer project, and can only ask that people work on what they are willing. Understand that the editors that do chose to address the problem can only repair one article at a time. For every observer, there is first time encountering the process, and many of them make the exact claim that you are: "Why are you only targeting my favorite article?" In this case, Jogers has removed the extra-policy images from all of the album chronologies that they're aware of. If you know of any others that remain, I'm sure they would appreciate it if you told them about it. There's other notable Tupac's alright, but in almost all cases when people think of 'Tupac,' they think of a rapper. Other articles have disambiguations with subjects as notable as the well-known use of the term (one example is beef; check the hip-hop version of that). What's the problem with doing the same here Indiawilliams 04:37, 7 March 2007 (UTC) ==B.I.G. question== Umm would you think that it is fair, as long as its on wikipedia guidelines, to put the "ranked as greatest rapper ever" on the B.I.G. article? I found sources and everything, but 2pac fans keep deleting it.---Dblockshorty Umm...the only Tupac albums that are universally considered masterpieces are All Eyez On Me and 7 Day Theory, from listening I've done. (Ive heard all of Tupac's living work except Srticly 4 My... and the only posthumous album i heard is Better Dayz, but the rest are, from all accounts, snoozers.) But that is beside the point...read The Feb '07 issue of the Source, the April '07 issue of XXL, the March issue of VIBE. They all have him as the greatest of all time. I used that issue of the Source as a source (no pun intended) but someone keeps on deleting it. Remember a while back when i felt that the "ranked as the greatest line" should be removed from Tupac's page? Well i realized that whether he is or is not is irrelevant, he has been ranked as such. So has B.I.G., almost nearly as much as Tupac. That's all. God Bless. --MartyMart.
