This is a template for adding information about a liberty ship that was named in honor of the subject of an article.

[edit] Usage

Typing this:

{{libship honor|name=Jeremiah O'Brien|type=his}}

where:

  • name is the liberty ship name (without the SS)
  • type is the proper possesive adjective (usually his, her, or its)

would result in this:

In World War II the United States liberty ship SS Jeremiah O'Brien was named in his honor.

If you are adding to a list of other honors, simply add an asterisk in front of the template and you're ready to go.
