The Libyan Premier League is the highest division of Libyan football championship, organised by Libyan Football Federation.

There are 14 clubs in the league. During the course of the season, each club plays the others both at home and away totalling 26 games. At the end of the season, the bottom two teams are automatically relegated to the 1st division. The winners and runners up of the championship automatically take their place.
