Libris Mortis is an official supplement for the Dungeons and Dragons role playing game, version 3.5. It outlines rules on how to play undead characters, and details new content for the undead, including new creatures, classes, spells, feats, and other options.

  1. All About Undead: Includes a briefing on the origins, outlook, physiology, and psychology of various undead creatures.
  2. Character Options: Contains feats for both undead creatures and non-undead creatures that have some sort of connection with undead, whether it be to combat, befriend, or control them. Additionally it contains rules for making undead characters, including monster classes for ghasts, mohrgs, mummies, wights, and vampire spawn.
  3. Prestige Classes: Introduces the following prestige classes:
    • Death's Chosen
    • Dirgesinger
    • Master of Radiance
    • Master of the Shrouds
    • Pale Master
    • Sacred Purifier
    • True Necromancer
    • Ephemeral Exemplar (Undead Prestige Class)

  4. Spells includes a list of undead-related spells, mostly within the school of Necromancy. Among these spells are Summon Undead as well as Spells relating to Necrotic Cyst.
  5. Equipment: Outlines undead-related equipment such as alchemical items and positoxins (poison designed to harm undead), magical items, and undead grafts.
