Liberty High School is located in Hillsboro, Oregon, just west of Portland. It opened in 2003, with only freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The school mascot is the falcon. With an exceptionally large gym, Liberty is currently the host of the Oregon Riptide, an expansion franchise in the American Basketball Association.

This school is currently organized by a "Small Schools Initiative" that devides the student body into four different "sub" schools (Academies). They are, the "Academy of Arts and Design," the "Health and Human Services Academy," the "Media, Culinary and Marketing Academy," and the "Science, Engineering and Technology Academy."

In these academies the students work in various "Focus Programs of study" similar to a Major. The focus prgrams include: Instermental Music, Vocal Music, Visual Arts, Theatre Proformance, Theatre Production, Child Services, Health Services, Public Services,Culinary Arts, Marketing/Management, Media Communications, Engerineering, Science, and Technology.

Liberty has a student run television studio referred to as "LTV." The students put on a morning broadcast everday informing viewers of activities, awards, announcements and video clips of sporting events.

The 2005-2006 Liberty Culinary team took second place at the National Culinary Arts Event in Nashville, Tenn. They competed there after winning gold medals at state in the spring.

In 2006 Liberty Highschool was selected as one of the winners of the Got Milk? Healthiest Student Bodies Contestst. Got Milk received nearly 1,500 contest entries from schools across the country and a panel of judges selected Liberty as one of the top 50 Student Bodies in the nation. Liberty received a $1,000 grant to fund health, wellness, PE and fitness and nutrition programs.

The school has approximately 1400 students and 140 faculty members.
