Libertina Amathila

Libertina Appolus Amathila (born 1940) is a Namibian physician and politician. She is currently the deputy Prime Minister, which she became in 2005. In 2000, she was the President of the General Assembly of the World Health Organization. From 1996 to 2005, Amathila was the Minister of Health and Social Services. She was also the 1991 recipient of the Nansen Refugee Award.
