Liberalism in Montenegro

This article gives an overview of liberalism in Montenegro. It is limited to liberal parties with substantial support, mainly proved by having had a representation in parliament. The sign ⇒ means a reference to another party in that scheme. For inclusion in this scheme it isn't necessary so that parties labeled themselves as a liberal party.

[edit] Introduction
Liberal parties were active in former Yugoslavia. After the restoration of democracy liberal factions became active again. Liberalism is organized in Montenegro in the Liberal Party of Montenegro (Liberalna Partija Crne Gore is more or less a liberal party. The former Yugoslav parties are not included in this timeline, but can be found in the entry Liberalism in Serbia.

[edit] From Liberal Alliance of Montenegro to Liberal Party of Montenegro
- 1990: The Montenegran liberals established in 1990 the Liberal Alliance of Montenegro (Liberalni Savez Crne Gore).
- 2004 A group of former members of the Liberal Alliance of Montenegro founds Liberal Party of Montenegro (Liberalna Partija Crne Gore).
- 2005 The Liberal Alliance of Montenegro is disbanded and part of its its members joined the Liberal Party of Montenegro.
