[edit] Summary

Briefing on NY/NJ Harbor Estuary Deepening Projects and Opportunities for Consolidation of Deepening Activities, US Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, 2002.

50’ Harbor Deepening Congressional Briefing, page 16. http://www.nan.usace.army.mil/harbor/briefing/50harbor.pdf Cropped and rotated by myself, GDFL.

Surely the Regina Maersk on her celebrated first port call, July 1998 (cited by 3 Senators). Maersk Series K, 5th generation container vessel, 14.5m draft fully loaded. Very lightly loaded, note how much of the rudder shows. This was a photo-op since there are no container facilities above Liberty Island.
