Liam De Young OAM (born December 10, 1981 in Brisbane, Queensland) is a field hockey defender from Australia, who was a member of the team that won the golden medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens by beating title holders The Netherlands in the final.
De Young is nicknamed DY by his team mates, and made his debut for The Kookaburras in a friendly against Belgium in October 2001. His performance at the Junior World Cup earned him selection in the team, as a replacement for veteran Daniel Sproule in the 2001 Champions Trophy team. De Young has been a member of the Australian squad at every major tournament ever since. He won The Kookaburras Best Young Player Award for 2001.
