After a sex accident, Tom's back is thrown out and Lynette's dehydrated. When an ER doctor asks them how this happened, they reply, "Bad sex." Lynette's released from the hospital first, and is forced to run the pizzeria on her own. After accidentally making a mess and receiving a complaint from a customer who wasn't happy with the food, Lynette bursts into tears. Tom is upset when a new employee, Rick, seems to be smitten with Lynette.

While Victor is in a debate with his opponent for mayor of Fairview, Victor is distracted by something he sees. While Susan, Lynette, Gabrielle, and Edie are playing poker at Gabrielle's house, Gabrielle's hunky handyman, Toby, shows up.

Susan begins to consider leaving Wisteria Lane. While Susan and Ian are out for a drive, the car is overturned in a lake. Mike saves Susan's life.
