[edit] Cleanup

Right now, the article is a mess, with all the information presented at once. Can an LPC grad please fix this up? Pdinc 08:22, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Coordinates

Hey, can someone add the coordinates for the college? I've done it for Mahindra College already, would nice to have them for all colleges (so people like me can finally find out where LPC actually is :-)) How to go about it: 1) Find the college in something like Google Earth and note down the coordinate 2) Put a tag of the type {{coor dms|18|31|29|N|73|35|07|E|}} in the Wiki text, it will result in something like this: 18°31′29″N, 73°35′07″E - which leads users to a page where they can select a map and look at it. [edit] NPOV

This article reads too much like a sales brochure...

Phrases of questionable POV:
"excellent educational platform"
"It also serves as a springboard for local students, whose academic distinction and enthusiastic involvement in community service and extra-curricular activities are commonly praised, to enter prestigious universities all over the globe"
"With the recent and much regrettable death of Mr. Blair Forster" - not to cast doubt on Mr. Forster's character, but wouldn't "With the recent death of Mr. Blair Forster" be more appropriate here?

Edit: Edited the article accordingly.

[edit] Criticisms

I'd like to add some of the criticisms of the college from both internal and external sources, but these are mainly first hand and not exactly citable, what is the procedure for things like that? Omishark 03:17, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] References

I put a {{reference}} tag on recently. I've noticed that its been removed and citations have been included in the article. I just have a small issue with the added references, they are all from the LPC website; that's okay for issues such as Admission and Curriculum, however I still think the article needs reliable third party sourced citations for some marginally POV statements that I have marked out in the article now, for e.g.:

"LPCUWC is an institution filled with opportunity, knowledge sharing and initiative"

The Social Life life section doesn't sound like an encyclopedic entry at all.

"Due to this academic achievements LPCUWC is consider by many scholars around the world to be one of the best high schools in the world."

"Li Po Chun graduates also get offers from the best universities in the world such as Harvard University, Yale University, Princeton University, the University of Cambridge and the University of Oxford among many others, with most students earning significant scholarships (Emphasis added)"

[edit] clean up

I am an LPC student but I attempted to make it much more neutral. I added a lot of information as well, I'm not sure how much of it qualifies as "encyclopedic" however, so if someone could help me differentiate that'd be great. I think I'll add more information later as to housing and information about the school board as well as controversies on campus recently. I guess I'm viewing the article as "What would I want to know if I was going to visit/attend LPC?" but I'm not sure all of that information would be relevent. Let me know! 219.76.138.70 04:27, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
