Li Chi Kok Zoo

Lai Chi Kok Zoo was located in Kowloon, Hong Kong, was a small private zoo open between 1951 and 1993. It kept a varity of wildlife such as giraffe, lion, alligator, puma etc. An Asian elephant Tinnu (天奴) was the famous figure of the days in the 1950s to 1970s. The elephant died in the park in the 1989.

In 1976, the zoo suffered from competition with Ocean Park. On 31st August 1993, the zoo was closed when the Hong Kong Government decided to use the land for residential use. Lots of animals were sent to Shek Kwu Chau.
