The Lexus MCX is a compact luxury SUV to be introduced by the Japanese manufacturer Toyota Motor Company as part of the luxury Lexus brand for the 2009 model year. It may be built at Toyota's new Woodstock, Ontario, Canada plant that will build the Toyota RAV4.
The MCX will be based on the Lexus ES and Toyota Camry and powered by a 3.5-litre V6 gasoline engine. With this engine, it is possible that the model will actually be named JX 350 by the time it reaches production. Hybrid versions are also expected.
