Lexie Kaye is an American on-air personality at WSRV-FM in Atlanta, GA. Lexie began her career in 1987 while a student at the University of Miami as a member of the WVUM-FM advisory board. In 1993, she got her first professional on-air position at WYGC-FM in Gainesville, Florida, doing part-time work. She became full time shortly after moving up to overnights 12a-6a, then evenings 7p-12a and Network Coordinator.
In 1996, Lexie graduated from the University of Florida and moved on to do afternoons on WRBA-FM in Panama City Beach, FL, in 1996. She's worked in radio as well in Binghamton, NY; Brunswick and Savannah, GA; and Hilton Head, SC. Lexie has held various positions such as morning co-host of Dade and Lexie at WXMK-FM; morning co-host of Jt&Co. at WZAT-FM; afternoons and production director at WRBA-FM; mornings as co-host with Hurricane & Co. at WPFM-FM; music director and middays at WMXW-FM; and program director and mornings at WGZO-FM while simultaneously carry duties as on air middays at WFXH-FM.
From 2001-2006 while working on-air in radio, Lexie put her public relations degree to work and added TV to her experience. She was hired by Carleton Public Relations, Inc., Huntsville, Alabama. Lexie was behind the scenes producing a live, legal, call-in show LawCall on Savannah's local station WJCL-TV, an ABC affiliate.
She started her own company Lexie Kaye Inc., LLC, in 2004 due to the large volume of voice-over work. Lexie's been doing freelance voice work for numerous radio and television stations, as well as on-camera work for several Savannah, GA, and Hilton Head, SC, television station as well as WSB-TV Channel 2 in Atlanta, GA.
In June 2006, she became the first on-air personality for WSRV-FM in Atlanta, GA. Becoming the #4 Arbitron-rated morning show in market #9 in the country.
In December 2006, Lexie received an outstanding achievement award at the March of Dimes 11th Annual A.I.R. awards in Atlanta.
Lexie is an active participant with the American Women in Radio and Television (AWRT) awrt.organd has been appointed to sit on the steering committee of the board. She dedicates her free time to special causes and charities such as the Susan G. Komen Foundation fighting breast cancer, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the March of Dimes.
On Thursday morning, March 22nd, Lexie was a guest on The Daily Buzz, a national morning television show taped live every morning in Orlando, Florida. They broadcast on 140 markets across the nation as people wake up and get ready for work. Every week they do a feature called "Watercooler on the Dial" where they ask radio DJ's about the Watercooler Topic of the Day.
