Lexar

Lexar is an American manufacturer of various digital media and software based in Fremont, CA. Media manufactured by them include SD cards, Memory Sticks, keydrives, and CompactFlash cards. They also produce card readers and MP3 players. Their Memory Stick Duos also have versions adapted for the PSP which includes a version of Xploder. Some of their cards are considered the fastest on the market. Once a division of Cirrus Logic, Lexar leveraged it's parent company's experience in building ATA controllers in developing its own flash controllers. Lexar was spun off from Cirrus Logic in 1996.
Lexar was purchased by Micron Technology in 2006.
