PC Lewis Hardy is a fictional character in the ITV television programme The Bill, played by Aml Ameen. His callsign is '128'. Lewis joined the series in January 2006 alongside his friend and fellow trainee, PC Emma Hinkley.
[edit] Personal Life and Background
Unlike other recruits that PC Hardy trained with, he comes from a very working class background. Lewis' education didn't stretch as far as University and his life wasn't really going anywhere. He was involved with gangs and was no stranger to the police. After being wrongly accused of a drugs offence and then being defended and helped by a police officer, Lewis decided to sort out his life and become a Police officer.
Lewis is frequently paired on the beat with colleague PC Roger Valentine, with whom he has developed an unusual and often strained friendship.
Since his grandmother left the country, Lewis has had to fend for himself. His latest roommate is a nurse that he has a crush on.
[edit] Training
PC Hardy did five weeks of his training at Hendon before being posted to Sun Hill in January 2006, and completed the rest of his training in August 2006. He is currently serving as a Probationary Constable in Sun Hill.
