Levante, also referred to as El Levante (Castilian or Spanish) or El Llevant (Valencian or Catalan), is a name used to refer to the eastern Mediterranean coastal region of Spain. It includes Valencia, Murcia. Sometimes, it also includes Catalonia, the eastern part of Castilla-La Mancha (Albacete and Cuenca), and the southern part of Aragon. It roughly corresponds to the NUTS ES5 area called "East Spain".
