The Letter of the Day is a classic segment on Sesame Street with Prairie Dawn and Cookie Monster. In which Prairie Dawn introduces the letter of the day, often written in icing on a cookie, then attemps to stop the Cookie Monster from devouring it. Whether it's a cookie or not, Cookie Monster will eat it. Most segments end with a sigh from Prairie Dawn and an apology from Cookie Monster.
