Letoon trilingual

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Letoon trilingual is an inscribed stele uncovered in 1973 during the archeological exploration of the Letoon temple complex, near Xanthos, ancient Lycia, in present Turkey. The Letoon trilingual consists of apparently parallel inscriptions in Greek, Aramaic, and Lycian. The inscription decrees the establishment of a cult, with references to the deities, and provisions for officers in the new cult.
