Lester the Unlikely is an adventure game for the Super Nintendo. It was released in January 1994.
The game did have a unique game engine and smooth animation but the challenging gameplay was the main criticism, due to frequent death spots. What makes the engine unique is how Lester is feared almost by anything and would run away if you run near to animals.
[edit] Premise
The slightly nerdy protagonist, Lester, is walking downtown reading a comic book when he decides to go to sleep on a pallet. The pallet is loaded onto a ship, which then shipwrecks and leaves Lester to survive on an island all by himself. He faces such enemies as giant seagulls, panthers, pirates, and the spirits of the underworld. During the course of the game, Lester is sent to island tribal jail. From there, he eventually escapes and falls in love with the tribal chief's daughter.
