Leslie Gene Hunter is a Regents Professor of History at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Dr. Hunter is the author of several books and journal articles. He currently serves as the editor for the Journal of South Texas, the biannual publication of the South Texas Historical Association. He is married to Cecilia Aros Hunter, Professor and University Archivist at the South Texas Archives and Special Collections at Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
