Leslie Bianchini (born 12 February 1947 in Chicago) was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for its January 1969 issue. Her centerfold was photographed by Mario Casilli.
Following graduation from high school in Woodside, California, Leslie tried her hand as a business major at Foothill College, worked as a salesgirl at Saks and then “loafed for a while” before becoming the Door Bunny at her favorite city’s hutch.
Leslie has two brothers and three sisters. Both of her brothers hold doctorates in physics and one of her sisters was a stewardress for Pan American Airways. Her youngest sister was studying in France at the time of the photo shoot, and her father was a broker at the Chicago Board of Trade.
Leslie was the enthusiastic owner of a pet pony named Toby and later became a horse trainer following her Playboy appearance; she specialized in Arabians.
In 1994, it became known that Leslie's centerfold photo (along with Angela Dorian, Reagan Wilson and Cynthia Myers) was scanned and inserted into Apollo 12 Extra-vehicular_activity astronaut cuff checklists by pranksters at NASA[1] [2] [3].
