Les Sectes: Savoir les reconnaître, Comprendre leurs mécanismes, Les combattre efficacement, Aider les victimes is a French book on cults, published in 2004. The book was authored by Thomas Lardeur, in collaboration with the anti-cult French organization UNADFI "Union Nationale des Associations de Défense des Familles et de l'Individu Victimes de Sectes" (English: National Union for the Defense of Families and Indiviuals Victims of Cults), with a preface by Jean-Pierre Jougla. Translated, the title reads: Cults: Know How to Recognize Them, Understand their Mechanisms, Efficiently Combat Them, Aid the Victims.

The book is cited by host Elise Lucet as a reference for the documentary Voyage to the Land of the New Gurus, on the France 3 investigative journalism television program, Pieces a Conviction.

In May 2005 the former prime minister Jean-Pierre Raffarin issued a circular indicating that the list of cults published on the parliamentary report (presented in this book on chapter 19) should no longer be used to identify cults. [1]
