[edit] Didactic Models
Lersus operates on the basis of pre-specified didactic models which define the functionality of the editor and the structure and style of the e-learning materials developed.
The mechanism of didactic model makes it possible to separate such different tasks as content creation, design, components layout, document development, and the publication. The author is concentrated on the content development. The whole technical side is displayed in the didactic model.
Lersus didactic model defines:
- Structure requirements
- Function settings
- Look and feel of the course
- Export formats
Lersus didactic model helps the author to:
- Ensure didactic and structure integrity of the tutorials
- Determine functional and visual solutions
- Get the format fixed
- Change the structure, format, and design with no effect on the content

[edit] Output Formats
From Lersus the learning materials are exported to XML, HTML, CHM, and PDF. Lerus is SCORM compatible. The learning modules, developed with Lersus can be imported to learning management systems (LMS) and content management systems (CMS). Right now Lersus can interoperate with Moodle, ILIAS, WebCT, Blackboard and other modern learning management systems.
[edit] LePricon License Server
LePricon License Server is a server that stores Lersus licenses and provides them to online users. The number of licenses stored by the server may differ. LePricon Server is a good solution if the organization has many e-learning authors, but all of them do not work simultaneously. This means that several authors can successfully work in turn, on different computers, using the same license.
Here is how it works:
The company installs LePricon on its server, and all the authors install Lersus on their computers. When starting his or her work each author connects to the LePricon server and gets a license. After the author logs off the server, the corresponding license is released and available for other users. LERSUS stops working for the disconnected author; the license is no longer taken and can be provided to another user that connects to LePricon.
[edit] Text-To-Speech Server
E-learning courses produced with LERSUS can be insonified. The Text-To-Speech server will automatically generate an audio version of all texts in the module. Different voices are available.
Languages supported:
- English
- German
- French
- Italian
Output formats:
- MP3
