Lerderderg River

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Lerderderg River (known locally as "The Lerdy") begins in the Lerderderg State Forest and ends when it merges into the Werribee River just out of the town of Bacchus Marsh in Victoria, Australia. It is known for the Lerderderg Gorge Picnic Ground, camping, bushwalking and fishing. The water has been at a trickle for the past few years on account of the drought but there are still a few popular swimming spots along the river including harry's hole, third hole and the pit all within the paramaters of the most picturesque part of the river- The Lerdergerg Gorge.
