Leopold Frankenberger (d.1860?) was born in Graz, Austria and is claimed to be Alois Hitler's father who was the father of dictator Adolf Hitler. It is unproven that he was Alois Hitler's father and it may be a rumor told by Hans Frank. Frankenberger knew Alois Hitler because Alois's mother worked as Frankenberger's maid. In early 1860s, Frankenberger returned home after staying in his birth place in Graz, Austria. The police would not allow him to live in the town anymore and after that he has not been seen ever since.
