Leonardo José Talamonti is an Argentine football defender. He was born on November 12, 1981, in the city of Álvarez in the Santa Fe Province of Argentina.

Talamonti began his career with Rosario Central in the city of Rosario in Argentina, after making nearly 100 appearances for the club he was sold to Italian Serie A side S.S. Lazio but after only one year in Italy he returned to Argentina to play for River Plate. Since the summer of 2006 he has been on loan at Atalanta B.C..
