Leonard James Russell (born November 17, 1969 in Long Beach, California), is a former American professional football player who was selected by the New England Patriots in the 1st round (14th overall) of the 1991 NFL Draft. A 6'2", 235 lbs. running back from Arizona State University, Russell played in six NFL seasons from 1991-1996 for the Patriots, Denver Broncos, St. Louis Rams, and San Diego Chargers.
