Leo McKay, Jr. (born June 19, 1964) is a Canadian novelist and short story writer from Stellarton, Nova Scotia.
His debut short story collection, Like This, was nominated for the Giller Prize in 1995. He subsequently published his first novel, Twenty-Six, in 2003. It became a national bestseller, and won the 2004 Dartmouth Book Award. He is currently working on a second novel.
He teaches Literary Arts at Cobequid Educational Centre in Truro, Nova Scotia and according to most sources has a finely tuned sense of humour, and is a great teacher according to his students.[citation needed]
He was a member of the musical group The Loman Brothers.
