Lent challenge

The Lent challenge refers to the endeavor, undertaken mainly by men, to abstain from induced orgasm (from masturbation, oral sex, or sexual intercourse) throughout the 40 days of Lent.

It also can be used to refer to a personal challenge of reading the four Gospels according to St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke, and St. John in the New Testament during the season of Lent.
