In this game Lenny Loosejocks goes on a walkabout throughout the town of Pullyapantsup and the surrounding area. There are several buildings some of which load up mini-games when entered. The player collects an icon upon winning these games. Once collected, these icons can be used in the building to get special code numbers which are used at the end of the game.

Once a building is explored Lenny can use transporters to instantly transport back to the building location. Grey icons are areas yet to be explored and coloured ones have been explored and can be transported to. Some places (such as the cane toad explode) require the player to win an icon before it can be reached by transport.

Throughout the map there are painted rocks which need to be collected in order to win a rockslide game.

To win the game the player must collect all of the codes and successfully navigate the mine field.

[edit] Lenny Loosejocks in Space

The official sequel to Lenny goes Walkabout.

The games starts with a movie. Lenny enters the doorway in the mine field from Walkabout. A voice which has been made artificially deep tells Lenny to move on to his "next mission". He then walks down a long hallway to a time machine (which displays today's date no matter what day you choose to play the game). Meanwhile Lenny's dog "Donga" enters the doorway and catches up with Lenny. They are both transported to the year 2999. When they arrive the voice welcomes them. Lenny asks (for the second time), "Who are you anyway?", and someone who looks and sounds identical to Lenny comes from the shadows and introduces himself as "Leroy Loosejocks", Lenny's descendant. It takes Leroy more than 5 minutes to add all the "greats" in front of "grandson" to accurately portray the generation gap between them.

In order to explain why Lenny has been brought 1000 years into the future, Leroy plays a video. The video is from Prime Minister Squeegle Queegly of the Sluggees. He explains that there are 20 billion Sluggees and that their Sun is dying. In order to supply their planet with light they are going to detonate the nearest galaxy to their own, which happens to be ours. To do this they have placed bombs on all nine planets in our Solar System (this game was produced before Pluto was officially designated a dwarf planet). The master bomb is in Pullyapantsup, Australia, but all of the other bombs must be disarmed prior to disarming this one.

Lenny and Donga are then sent with an elevator to the surface to begin their mission. The player can now control Lenny, with Donga following him. If the player chooses to travel to the right Lenny will walk to a giant golden statue of his self with a plaque at its base saying "Lenny Loosejocks Our Hero!". If the player goes left he will walk to a shack with the master bomb inside. Outside the shack is a spaceship which Lenny can use to travel to the other planets.

Once the player makes Lenny use the spaceship he will take off. The player can then lead Lenny to the other planets. Once on a planet Lenny will leave his spacecraft and tell Donga to remain behind. The player must then lead Lenny through a maze across the planet's surface to the planet's bomb. Lenny will then disarm the bomb and a number will be displayed which is used later to disarm the master Earth bomb. Lenny must then be lead back to his spacecraft and repeat the process on all other planets.

Before landing on a planet a screen is displayed with a fictitious history of that planet. On the planets' surfaces there are a variety of alien lifeforms, ranging from a Martian on Mars to skinny pink cattle used on the Neptune methane farms.

If the player has successfully disarmed a bomb, a movie plays after leaving the planet, and the Sluggee Prime Minister is informed of the successful disarming. Once all of the bombs (except the Earth master bomb) have been disabled the Sluggees attempt to capture Lenny and prevent him from disabling the Earth bomb. They succeed and place him in a magnetic prison. However, Donga follows them, evading capture, and successfully rescues Lenny.

Once Lenny escapes from the Slugees the player must lead him back to Earth and disarm the master bomb. To disarm it, the player must enter the codes gained by disarming the other eight bombs. After the bomb is disarmed Leroy enters and a movie plays. Leroy shows footage of Australia from space. The entire continent is lit with candles arranged to form the image of Lenny and Donga and the words "Thank You". Lenny asks to go home, and Leroy gives him his personal time machine, since he never uses it. Unfortunately, it is "out of order" and Lenny is accidentally sent to the time of the dinosaurs. The game ends with the words "To be Continued". This leaves the obvious option for a third game set in the prehistoric era, but so far one has not been announced or officially produced.

If the player fails to disarm the master bomb in 4 hours, there will be a movie and Squeegle Queegly will find out that the computers are affected by the "Year 3000 bug".The player will then have another 4 hours to disarm all the bombs

Spoilers end here.
