Leizhou

Leizhou City (雷州市; pinyin: Léizhōu Shì; Lei Chow) is a county-level city in Guangdong province, in southern China.

It is under the juridiction of Zhanjiang prefecture-level city.

Leizhou is located on the Leizhou Peninsula.

Leizhou was part of the Kwang-Chou-Wan territory leased to France during parts of the 19th and 20th century. During this time, it was renamed Fort Bayard.
