LeisureJet is a planned airline based in Australia that would operate low-fare routes from Sydney and Melbourne to destinations in South-East Asia and Europe. It was established in April 2004 [1], .
It was originally planned to begin operations before the end of 2004, would be funded by local investers and would eventually become a public company. It has a 5 year projected revenue of $150 Million. It would originally fly routes between Melbourne and Sydney to Italy and Greece via Kuala Lumpur. It would be in the high-yield Kangaroo Route market, appealing mostly to backpackers.[citation needed]
