Leiranger

Leiranger is a former municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The administrative centre was Leines.
It was created by a split from Steigen on 1 September 1900. The new municipality, which was called Ledingen at that time, had a population of 1.117. It is unclear when the name change to Leiranger took place.
On 1 January 1964 Leiranger was reunited with Steigen. Prior to the merger Leiranger had a population of 1.397.
