Leicester Regeneration Company

The Leicester Regeneration Company is a not-for-profit Urban Regeneration Company, funded by Leicester City Council (LCC), East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) and English Partnerships (EP). These groups are represented on the Board, which is private sector led and has a private/voluntary sector majority. The role of the LRC is to involve various stakeholders, in an attempt to regeneration the city of Leicester. The company was set up in April 2001, and became operational in early 2002, in response to the Government’s Urban White Paper. It is one of 16 Urban Regeneration Companies in the UK.
